UVA Health Opens Pharmacy Central Services at North Fork
UVA Health recently celebrated the ribbon-cutting of its new Pharmacy Central Services Center at North Fork — a 30,000-square-foot facility that represents a major leap forward in the health system's pharmacy operations.
The new center joins an existing 10,000 sq. ft. operation already located at North Fork, bringing the total footprint to 40,000 sq. ft. across two locations. Together, they form a unified hub capable of processing up to 4,000 prescriptions per shift — and are expected to increase UVA Health's pharmacy capacity by 50 percent. Home delivery services now reach patients in 14 states, from Florida to Massachusetts.
The expansion has already brought 50 new jobs to the Charlottesville area, and reflects North Fork's continued growth as a home for mission-driven organizations at the intersection of healthcare, research, and innovation.
