Randolph College STEM Students Explore Cutting-Edge Technology at North Fork
On August 20, approximately 25 incoming first-year students from Randolph College visited North Fork as part of the college's SUPER Program (Step Up to University Physics and Engineering at Randolph). The day-long program introduces science-focused students to real-world applications of the fields they're studying before their college careers even begin.
The students toured two of North Fork's leading innovation hubs: Perrone Robotics, a pioneer in autonomous vehicle systems, and the UVA Center for Applied Biomechanics, a nationally recognized research facility advancing engineering expertise in critical areas like vehicle safety and human health. These tours gave students hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technology, expert insights from industry professionals, and a glimpse into potential career pathways in engineering and robotics.
