Q: What is the aspect of your job that you love the most?

What I love most is the variety of projects I work on and the chance to share and perform exciting chemistry with students or other teams.

Q: What is something you’re currently working on that excites you?

It’s been really cool to see the final steps of the FentAlert (hand-held fentanyl assay test kits) project come together and start to fulfill orders.

Q: What experiences have equipped you for your present position?

Having varied positions in the scientific industry and my education has helped me problem-solve and think creatively whenever I get stuck.

Q: Do you have a favorite restaurant in the area?

I love Sultan Kebab off the downtown mall.

Q: What topic or innovation would you be interested in exploring further?

I’m interested in learning more about flow/process chemistry and the chemistry/biology involved in winemaking and brewing.
